Parents may contribute up to $5,000 annually, with funds invested primarily in mutual funds or exchange-traded funds that track the S&P 500 or similar equity indexes, with at least 90% invested in American companies.
Children gain access to the money upon turning 18. Eligible U.S. citizen children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, also receive a $1,000 federal seed contribution when a Trump Account is opened in their name.
