The apparent engagement first appeared on Instagram Stories shared by Lee’s close friend Marina Hollyer, who posted photos showing Lee wearing a veil, a “Bride to Be” sash, and what appeared to be a large diamond ring. Neither Malone nor Lee has publicly confirmed the news.
The pair first became linked in early 2025 after being spotted together in Rome, Idaho, and Paris. A few months later, they had separated, only for the two to appear together again in 2026 quietly.
If the engagement is confirmed, it would mark Malone’s second engagement and the latest chapter in a relationship that has largely unfolded off their social media accounts.
The Friends Posted First
The strongest hint that Post Malone and Christy Lee may be engaged came from the people closest to them, not from the couple themselves.
Hollyer shared several photos on her Instagram story celebrating Lee’s apparent engagement, writing: “My best friend in the world just got engaged 🥹❤️, Love you more than words Toph ❤️❤️❤️!!!” The images appeared to show Lee sitting on Malone’s lap with a diamond ring visible on her left hand. Other photos showed the couple kissing surrounded by roses.
Another friend, Brooke Donovan, shared her own message on Instagram Stories, writing: “So happy for you both.”
TMZ, which first reported the engagement news, said Malone proposed in Utah on Aug. 18, one day before Hollyer’s posts appeared. Neither Malone nor Lee has publicly addressed the proposal, and Malone’s representative had not commented.

Malone and Lee were first spotted together in Rome in 2025. Over the following months, they were reportedly seen in Idaho and Paris, where PEOPLE reported they were seen dining at Beefbar, shopping, and sharing a kiss near luxury stores.
The relationship appeared to be moving forward until June 2025, when the pair split after several months together. Neither Malone nor Lee confirmed the breakup.
Then, in February 2026, they appeared together again at the Khaite fashion show in New York. Their reunion came without an explanation or public statement, leaving fans to piece together the timeline through photos. The apparent engagement reveal arrived roughly six months after that public appearance.

Who is Christy Lee?
Before she was connected to one of music’s biggest stars, Lee had already built a career in the fashion world.
A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Lee worked as a stylist with clients including actress Bella Thorne and model Frida Aasen. Her career placed her within fashion circles long before her relationship with Malone brought wider attention.

Malone has spoken openly about how much fatherhood means to him. In a 2025 GQ interview, he said: “Being a dad, I take it a day at a time. I think it’s important that way. We’re learning every day.”
He also described watching his daughter play at his Utah home, calling those moments “the most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
