We don’t know about you, but when we have to go to the bathroom, we just look for the nearest one and don’t give it much more thought. Privacy, cleanliness and toilet paper are really all we need. The Hawthorne House in Milwaukee
This property was built in 1851 by the Fowle family and was recently listed for $450,000. It was a farmhouse or about 75 years, at which point it was donated to the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in the 1920s or 1930s. It was during that time that the four toilets, with no separators, were installed. If you are a close family, then do we have the house for you!

There are so many disturbing things about this toilet. If you are standing facing him, you have to look at him while you go. If you are sitting on the toilet, and know he is behind you, watching you, that is equally horrifying. And then, you have to reach into his chest to flush. We will hold it, and look for another toilet.

They are currently found in several European cities and pop up in the evenings, in the midst of bar-hopping hours, then they retract in the morning. There are a few versions, with an expanded one that provides a toilet for women, not just a urinal version, as shown here. We think coffee drinkers might like them available in the morning – and afternoon – too!
