With a can, jar, or pouch of tuna in the pantry, you are minutes away from a tasty meal. If you have never thought beyond tuna salad, this article is for you. Canned tuna is an economical protein that can help you create recipes simple enough for a quick lunch, as well as ones that are fancy enough for dinner guests.

We love old-fashioned American macaroni salad, and tuna salad, too, so we thought, why not combine them? That’s what this salad is, and it will become your standby for potlucks and summer parties. Get the recipe for Tuna Macaroni Salad.

Pasta With Tuna & Sun-Dried Tomatoes

This flavor packed pasta dish comes together in a flash as long as you have the sun-dried tomatoes at hand. They are one of those items that you will use again and again, if you have them available. You can try other shaped pasta, but we love the farfalle. Get the recipe for Pasta With Tuna & Sun-Dried Tomatoes.

Our tuna noodle casserole is gluten-free and does not rely on any kind of cream of canned soup. It is made from scratch and tastes light years beyond many conventional recipes that you might be familiar with. If you think you do not like tuna noodle casserole, please give this one a try. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Get the recipe for Gluten-free Tuna Noodle Casserole.

Pantry Pasta With Tuna & Olives

We didn’t know what to call this “pantry pasta” recipe. Yes, it contains tuna, lemon, Garlic-Infused Olive Oil, black olives, anchovies, and capers, but it also features lots of black pepper and a generous shower of parsley. You see the problem. We shortened the title, but know that the flavor is there! You can make this dish with capellini, spaghetti, or linguini as well as the fusilli in the images, and it is just as good. Get the recipe for Pantry Pasta With Tuna & Olives.

Kickin’ Cajun Tuna Salad

Our Kickin’ Cajun Tuna Salad is a little spicy, but not too spicy. It is different enough from classic tuna salad to be something new, and yet not so exotic that it is unapproachable. And you can whip it up in minutes. For an easy variation, make it into tuna patties. Brilliant. Simply coat with some ground oats (oat flour) and fry! Get the recipe for Kickin’ Cajun Tuna Salad.

We love canned tuna for its high protein, ease of use and the fact that if we have some in the pantry, we know there can always be a meal at hand. This recipe is a perfect example, combining tuna, chickpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes, scallions, and a light vinaigrette. Pan Bagnat

This has been affectionately called, “the best sandwich ever!” Start with good bread and we do suggest using high quality prepared tuna, such as Tonnino brand jarred tuna. In French “pan bagnat” means “bathed bread”, and indeed your bread will be bathed in dressing and all the yummy juices from your sandwich ingredients, including oil-packed tuna, hard-boiled eggs, roasted peppers and tomato, packed into a crusty loaf. The dressing is a mustardy vinaigrette using red wine vinegar and Garlic-Infused Olive Oil, with chopped anchovies and capers for powerhouse flavor. Get the recipe for Pan Bagnat.

Salade Nicoise

Here we have the classic French composed salad, called Salade Nicoise. There are a few things to do before assembling it, but once everything is prepped, the assembly takes mere minutes. Steam your potatoes and green beans ahead of time. Hard-boil those eggs. Use high-quality canned or jarred tuna, and don’t forget the olives, tomatoes, and anchovies. Yes, we said anchovies! The beauty of this dish is that everyone can take a little bit of everything that they want, and nothing that they don’t. This makes a hearty lunch and even a light dinner. We love it on a hot summer night. Get the recipe for Salade Nicoise.

Low FODMAP Tuna Salad

Of course, we had to include a tuna salad, but this is no typical version. If you are following the low FODMAP diet, you know that celery has a very small low FODMAP serving. Taking advantage of low FODMAP bok choy or cucumbers is a great way to get juiciness and crunch, without the high FODMAP content of celery. Otherwise, this is very straightforward with mayonnaise and simple seasoning. Get the recipe for Low FODMAP Tuna Salad.
